Welcome Music For Dozens

January 30th, 2006

“Now, there is a way for every person to find exactly the music he or she wants to hear, and for artists to reach their own enthusiastic fans, whether there are a million or just a dozen.”

Another awesome addition to our studio! Chris and Greg of Music For Dozens are shackin’ up with Less Distracted.

contents may have shifted

January 18th, 2006

Having a space other than my bedroom to work from has been a big help for me in terms of getting shit done. I think everyone here is feeling it too.

I’ve been wanting to build myself a photo blog for quite some time, and I finally sat down and whipped one out. Warning: contents may have shifted.

Welcome UrbanHonking

January 18th, 2006

We’re happy to announce that UrbanHonking will be joining our studio. They are constantly working on fun projects, and we’re excited to see what’s next.

I guess I should note that only two or three people from UH are renting space from us. Not everyone in that photo! Read Mikey’s blog entry.

Paint!

December 19th, 2005

Thanks to a little bit of teamwork, we got the whole studio painted in an afternoon. Passerbys claimed to see the glow from down the hall.

Day one

December 17th, 2005

Today marks day one of the Less Distracted Studio. At least that’s what I’m calling it for now. It’s housed in the North Coast Seed Building (seen right) amongst dozens of busy artists, carpenters, photographers, and more. I couldn’t be happier with the location of the building and the neat little community we’re joining.

I spent far too long on the phone with Qwest trying to get the DSL line working. In the end, I was treated like a child, and nothing was accomplished. Their best advice was to _make sure the phone line is plugged in_. Thanks!

Tomorrow, Jason, Brett, Marcus and I are going to paint and start moving in.

Here are a couple photos:
